Mark 16:15 (King James Version)

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Tobias Hatchett

Memphis School of Preaching

The Memphis School of Preaching is a two-year collegiate institution devoted to the training of gospel preachers. It is overseen by the elders of the Forest Hill Church of Christ in Germantown, a suburb of Memphis Tennessee.
The Cusseta Road congregation of the Church of Christ is currently supporting Brother Tobias Hatchett, a native of Columbus, GA as he completes his degree requirements at Memphis School of Preaching. He has been a Youth Minister, and Assistant Minister for a number of congregations and has to his credit a number of gospel meetings, and youth days.
Brother Hatchet is a great example of Christian living for all ages. We are pleased to support and encourage this outstanding young man as he prepares to begin his second year at the Memphis School of Preaching. We pray for his continued focus, diligence, and zeal as he builds what we believe will be a long and fruitful life in the service of the church.

Bro. Melvin Copeland

North Talbotton Church of Christ
Talbotton, Georgia

North Talbotton Church of Christ
Northeast of Columbus GA is Talbot County and its County Seat Talbotton.
Towards the north end of town you’ll find the Church of Christ, nestled into a
small community where it has been since around 1978. For almost all of that
time, the congregation has been led and taught by Brother Melvin Copeland.
Brother Copeland with his wife Nina have always worked full-time as they raised
their three children while Bro. Copeland dutifully performed the “work of an evangelist” (2Tim 4:5).
Brother Copeland continued diligently preaching God’s gospel and grooming the
faithful brothers until failing health would no longer allow it.
The Cusseta Road congregation is pleased to have responded to the need for a preacher in Talbotton. Since early 2021 our Brother Michael Allen has been a part-time speaker at the 11AM worship. Brother Allen is known among Cusseta Road members as a zealous personal worker and veteran of many years of teaching in local prisons. Along with the local brethren and additional guest speakers, the congregation has adapted to its  circumstances and remains viable.
Please remember to pray for this work, the diligence of the local brethren, and for Brother Allen.
Lorenzo Hannah
South Thompson Street Church of Christ
Deland, Florida

Brother Lorenzo Hannah and his wife Peggey, now residing in the Deland Florida area, are well known to the brethren at Cusseta Road, West Georgia, and East Alabama. We have beheld and benefited from his zeal for and skill in preaching “the unsearchable riches of Christ” (Eph 3:8) for more than three decades.  Brother Hannah is currently the Evangelist at the South Thompson Street Church of Christ in Deland Florida and has served the congregation for approximately four years. In that time the congregation has more than doubled though it remains small.  We believe that the South Thompson Street congregation is indeed blessed to have a man who not only knows the word of God but is committed to living accordingly.

For about four years it has been a privilege for our congregation to provide support to Brother Hanna as he seizes every opportunity in the Deland Florida area to enlarge the Kingdom of God. According to Brother Hannah, the congregation has a busy, evangelical summer planned to include collaboration with the Florida School of Preaching and a door-to-door campaign.

We pray that God will continually bless Brother and Sister Hannah as well as the congregation wherein they labor.

James K. Stephenson, Minister
Biabou Church of Christ
St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Congregations of the Lord’s church don’t just happen. Nor are they sustained without determined vision and prayerful commitment. The Cusseta Road congregation is pleased to support the evangelical work of a brother in Christ who demonstrates these very attributes. He is Brother James K. Stephenson, Minister of the Biabou Church of Christ located on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent. Here Brother Stephenson and his wife Lucy perpetuate Christianity via the Gospel of Christ despite numerous inconveniences including COVID-19.
Under the leadership and teaching of Brother Stephenson, the congregation meets and worships regularly and maintains a very present outreach to the local community.
Island life has been recently interrupted due to the eruption of La Soufriere, the island’s previously dormant volcano which last erupted in 1979. The island has therefore been largely evacuated. Our congregation has provided additional special aid to relief services that will go there and assist our brethren.
Please pray for the welfare of our courageous fellow Christians and the population of St Vincent.
