Columbus Institute of Biblical Studies
Brother Elliott Glasgow, our Minister and recognized Bible scholar, is the director of the Columbus Institute of Biblical Studies (CIBS). Day-to-day coordination of activities is ably managed by Brother Creg Amos.
For approximately two decades the Cusseta Road congregation of the Church of Christ has been home to the CIBS. With the objectives of:
a) providing focused foundational Bible study for area brothers anticipating entrance into preaching school,
b) upgrading the knowledge of local Bible school teachers,
c) instilling sound biblical knowledge and principals of study in area congregational leaders,
CIBS is renown for meeting a clear need and for the excellence of its faculty. Instructors are chosen to provide a series of weekly lectures over the course of a calendar quarter and certificates are awarded for
successfully passing end-of-term exams.

We have courageously continued the CIBS classes despite the limits imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic by hosting class sessions on Zoom. This will continue until regional vaccination levels and transmission
trends indicate that it is safe to resume in-person classes. Our next class will begin at 7PM September 14.
The decision to conduct the class in-person has not yet been made.
