The mission of Cusseta Road Church of Christ is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Elliott C. Glasgow

Elliott Glasgow was born in Biabou, St. Vincent and the Grenadines December 14, 1949.  After completing two years of intensive Preacher training in Puerto Rico in 1970, he married Avis (John) on August 22, 1970, this past year they celebrated 50 years of marriage. He and his wife have one son, and two granddaughters. 

Bro. Glasgow has under-graduate, graduate and post-graduate degrees from several Institutions including, Memphis School of Preaching, Amridge University, Bethany Divinity, and a Doctoral Degree from Theological University of America among others.

 He was an the instructor at three Schools of Preaching; Northwest Florida School of Preaching, South Carolina School of Biblical Studies. He also teaches, and is the Director of the Columbus Institute of Biblical Studies (currently overseen by the Eldership at Cusseta Road). 

 He has preached in several US states and Cities including Enterprise, AL; Manning, SC; Brooklyn, NY; Tuskegee, AL; and countries including,  St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts, St. Croix and St. Thomas USVI, and he has been the Pulpit Minister here at Cusseta Road since 1997. He has been on many mission trips, and has spoken on many brotherhood lectureships, and has done many workshops. He is also the host of the weekly Know Your Bible TV program.


Bro. Glasgow is a profound speaker, and is loved by everyone who knows him. We thank God for placing him into over lives here at Cusseta Road. 

Josh Cantrell, Associate Minister

Joshua Brandon Cantrell was born in Columbus, Georgia. He attended Central High School (Phenix City, Alabama) and was involved in many organizations there until he graduated in 2012. In the summer of 2013, he became a student at the Memphis School of Preaching and graduated in 2015.
He is also a graduate of Amridge University (June 2020), where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Bible. Joshua will soon begin graduate studies at Freed-Hardeman University in August 2021 in pursuit of a Master’s degree in the New Testament.
We are proud to say that Brother Cantrell was “born and raised” at Cusseta Road. His parents have been members of our congregation since 1992. Brother Cantrell was taught and encouraged in the education program at Cusseta Road. Joshua preached his first sermon at age fifteen while attending the Foundations program in Memphis, TN which is hosted by the Memphis School of Preaching. In 2015 he met with the Elders and expressed his desire to attend Preaching School. They were pleased and elated at his desire and prepared to support him. He has been our Assistant Minister since graduating from Memphis School of Preaching. Joshua is also the host of the Diligent Podcast, which you can find on all major podcast platforms.
